"...but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life"
- John 4:14, NKJV
Welcome to my cyber refuge, built here in beautiful western Washington, where the weather year-round is (usually) like that of an everlasting spring. Then there is the season the famous 18th century hymnwriter Isaac Watts (1674-1748) had in mind in one of his lesser known compositions, when he wrote:
There is a land of pure delight,
Where saints immortal reign,
Infinite day excludes the night,
And pleasures banish pain.
There everlasting springabides,
And never with'ring flow'rs;
Death, like a narrow sea, divides
This heav'nly land from ours.

Awards my site has been given
My refuge was the top site on the Surrendering to God list of top Christian sites for June '05! If you like my refuge, please vote by clicking the award to keep this site in the top ranking on STG. Thanks for your help, and thanks to STG for the beautiful award!
NEW! Please click above to vote for my refuge in the Believe in Jesus list of top Christian sites. Thanks for your support!
Above are two of my awards from the Blooming Friendships in the Lord top sites list, which I enjoyed being part of for a couple of years. Unfortunately, the new owners decided in April '05 to suddenly delete the list rather than offer ownership of the list to another member. This was unfortunate for those of us who were members of this nice group of top Christian sites.
First-time visitors! Please be sure to sign my new guestbook before you leave my refuge. Use the "sign" link above or at the bottom of most of my sections. Thank you!

"Lucida Casual" was previously the "official font" for most of the pages of my refuge, and I had included a link to enable everyone to view my refuge the way I created it. However, that font is no longer available for free, and I don't expect anyone to buy a font to view my site. So my "official font" is now "Dream Orphans" by talented designer Ray Larabie, who describes it as "a delicate serif font with a hand-drawn appearance, reminiscent of hand painted street signs". I feel this pretty font will add to your enjoyment of my site and that you will also want to use it yourself. So I made it easy for you by providing four locations below for the zip file. Then just unzip it into your fonts folder (C:/Windows/Fonts on most computers). Also check out Ray's site here to view more of his work!
In addition to belonging to over two dozen web rings, I have created three:
Christian Crocheters, for Christian women who love to crochet; West Coast Christians, for Christian web site owners in WA, OR, CA, ID, NV, AK, HI, BC and AB; and Pets Are A Blessing for pet owners/lovers whose site reflects the blessing their pets bring to their life. If any of these are appropriate for your web site, please go to the ring home page (by clicking on the ring's title) and join!
If you have any comments about my refuge, or feel we have things in common and just want to say "hi", I invite you to click here and send me a message! It will be directed to my primary E-mail and I will reply as soon as I can.
