Christian Crocheters Web Ring Home Page

Thanks for your interest in the Christian Crocheters Web Ring! I decided to create this ring in October '99 for the same reason I started the ChristianCrocheters Yahoo Groups list five months earlier. When I was looking for a web ring like this, the only one I found had disbanded. I found web rings for crocheters and crafters, and web rings for Christian women, but no active rings combining the two.

As you probably know, a web ring is a gathering of web sites with similar themes. It is a way to increase traffic to your site and to link sites that deal with similar issues. Qualifications for admittance of your site into this ring are explained below. There are some very talented and creative ladies included in this ring. Please read on to determine if your site qualifies to join us!

QUALIFICATIONS TO JOIN THE CHRISTIAN CROCHETERS WEB RING:
- You are a female. I realize there are a small number of men who crochet, and I applaud them! But this web ring, as well as the list, was created as a fellowship of Christian women.
- Your web site must contain at least one section of Christian content, which I expect would include some sharing of what being a Christian means in your life. The word "Christian" here refers to someone who has experienced being "born-again" as explained in the gospel of John, chapter 3, and whose life was strongly and permanently affected by that decision. Going to church in and of itself does not make you a "Christian", any more than sitting in a garage makes you a car. Denomination does not matter, but cults will not be accepted.
- Your web site must also contain at least one section of crochet content, which I expect would include some descriptions and photos of some of the crocheted items you have made. Both commercial (crocheted items for sale) and non-commercial crochet sections will qualify.
- You must not belong to any web ring which has a theme of the occult, New Age, astrology, or (without going into detail) any lifestyle spoken against in the Holy Bible. I will determine what constitutes an acceptable web ring.
- Blog owners, please note! Lately, I have had Christian crochet blogs joining the ring. I realize the ring code needs to be adjusted to fit the side margin of the blog. You MUST include, at a minimum, the link to Ringsurf, the link to the ring home page, the ring logo (OK to shrink size to fit the margin), the "owned by (link to your E-mail address)" and the "join", "next", "prev" and "list" links.
- You are responsible for keeping your ring information (your URL and E-mail address) up to date. If either of these change, you MUST either log into RingSurf with your ring and site ID and password, or contact me to change your info. I periodically do ring checks, and if your ring code is missing or incomplete, your site may be removed from the ring and you will need to resubmit your site.

If you and your site fit this description, I will be pleased to review your app and site for admittance into the ring. If you presently have a web site, please fill out and submit the form below. In addition, please download the web ring logo (in the web ring box below) to your site by right clicking on it, and save it as CClogo.jpg. You will receive an E-mail containing your queue number and the HTML code to be placed on your site. Replace the generic E-mail address and site i.d. in the HTML code with your E-mail address and the site i.d. shown in your E-mail. Then place the HTML, including the downloaded logo, on your home page or your web rings page and notify me when this is done. You will be advised as soon as possible whether you have been added to the ring. Thanks again for your interest and God bless!
